Mixed martial artist Conor McGregor is about to join the very prestigious billionaires club. In a recent business deal, the UFC star sold a portion of his stake in his whiskey company Proper No. Twelve.
The terms of the deal are of course not being made public, but it has been said that McGregor will remain active in the company. The transaction is worth a reported £500 million and will see the Irishman become the first billionaire from the country.
The announcement may come at what seems to be a strange time, with McGregor supposedly in the middle of a training camp for this trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier.
Recent critics have jumped on McGregor for his training videos posted on Twitter. Now with this business deal taking place, people are bound to wonder if the Irishman’s head and heart are really in the fight space.

With the deal now done, however, it is time for McGregor to focus on his fight, because his opponent is certainly aiming to finish the Notorious One. Especially after McGregor’s recent antics which say he donate a promised amount of $500,000 to a different charity than agreed.
Conor McGregor is known for his theatrics, but recent bouts in the octagon have left something to be desired and maybe it is time to put it all aside and show people once again why he is a former two-weight world champion.
