Former UFC fighter, Steve Bossé to make pro boxing debut on February 15th

Steve Bosse hasn’t been seen in the Octagon since earning a unanimous decision win over Sean O’Connell at UFC Fight Night 89 in June of 2016. The MMA fighter has since transitioned to the world of professional boxing according to TVA Sports and the Canadian is set to make his pro boxing debut on February 15 against Julio Cuellar Cabrera. Chris Lytle hasn’t been seen in the Octagon since his retirement bout at UFC On Versus 5, where the fighter defeated Dan Hardy by third round submission. In what could be his last fight as a super flyweight, Naoya Inoue did not disappoint in his return to the Japanese boxing ring. Inoue, the WBO super flyweight champion, retained his title with a quick, three-round demolition of challenger Yoan Boyeaux at the Bunka Gym in Yokohama. Inoue displayed his dominant power from the start of the fight, knocking down Boyeaux with a stiff counter-left hook to Boyeaux’s jaw, laying the challenger flat on his back throughout most of the 10 count before getting back up. With home field advantage, Ryoichi Taguchi closed out 2017 as the new unified light flyweight world champion. Taguchi became the new unified WBA/IBF light flyweight champion by beating now-former IBF champion Milan Melindo in Japan on New Year’s Eve, the final world title fight to take place in 2017. Roy Jones Jr. plans to have his retirement fight in Pensacola on February 8th 2018

Roy Jones Jr., one of the sport’s premier pound-for-pound fighters in the 1990s and 2000s, will be calling it a career next year in front of his hometown fans.
