Los Angeles (AFP) – The Staples Center in Los Angeles will host a major match on December 1 featuring WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, defending his title against Tyson Fury.

The Staple Center located in downtown has 21,000-capacity, and is often used for boxing venues, such as the famous Oscar de la Hoya’s 2000 match against Shane Mosley, and also Lennox Lewis, the former heavyweight champion of 2003 against Vitali Klitschko.

Having 39 knockouts out of 40 matches, Wilder has performed each in his previous seven title defenses.

Being a former IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO heavyweight world champion, Fury, 30, is still undefeated in 27 matches.

“I’ll go to Vegas for free and fight Wilder. I’d rather have no money and win than 200 billion pounds ($261.5 billion) and lose,” says the English boxer.

He has made his comeback earlier in 2018 after two and a half year blank, setting his eyes for a showdown match with Wilder.
