Cris “Cyborg” Justino demands the UFC to either book her in a fight or release her from her contract

It seems like Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino is used to being forced to wait throughout her professional mixed martial arts career.

The biggest saga of Cyborg’s career has arguably been the failure to meet Ronda Rousey inside of the Octagon, and with the latter having lost her previous two fights, it looks unlikely that it’ll ever happen.

Three weeks have now passed since the 17-1 Brazilian publicly called out UFC’s featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie for a chance to fight at UFC 214, and nothing has been made official on that front.

In fact, nothing seems to be progressing in terms of getting Cyborg back inside of that Octagon and doing what she does best, and it now sounds like she’s had enough of waiting around.

The former Strikeforce women’s featherweight champion took to Twitter to issue a huge demand to UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby and the president, Dana White.

What she wants is simple, either book her in a fight or release her from her contract.

She posted: “2 weeks my manager call @seanshelby about my next fight but no news! @UFC if you don’t want to fight me, release me! #letsgochamp @danawhite.”

After calling the Dutch champion the number one contender for her title belt, she said: “I’m healthy now and I’m strong, and I really want to show my fans why I’m still 10 years undefeated at 145 pounds.

“July 29th, the UFC will be in south California, and I would like to fight in my backyard in America in Anaheim, California. So, Germaine, I hope your hand is healthy enough to accept my challenge.”

July 29 is edging closer, and there’s still no answer.

In her two UFC outings already, Cyborg has impressed in dominant fashion by picking up two TKO wins, and it’d be a shame if UFC did end up releasing her just because they couldn’t find a suitable opponent.
