Badou Jack has officially vacated the WBC super middleweight championship to become a light heavyweight boxer.
This past sunday in New York, Badou jack had a draw with James DeGale. He was informed that he would have to defend the WBC super middleweight championship against Callum Smith. However, after the boxing match on sunday night, Jack said that he would rather fight the WBC light heavyweight champion, Adonis Stevenson and he then went on to vacate the championship.
Badou Jack also offered Jame DeGale the offer to fight once again, but it will have to be at light heavyweight.
The vacant WBC super middleweight championship will be on the line as Callum Smith will face Jose Uzcategui.
